Indiana was the place to be for us fanatics this Autumn!
Being Horned Fox Sauces entrepreneurs and ever keen to further research our favourite topic, I volunteered myself, to spend time this autumn in Indiana, partying with ….yes you guessed it…Chillis!!
My personal love of both the subject and the pepper itself created the Horned Fox Sauces that can now be found in abundance in every Notcutts Garden Centre and specialist market stall around the country and not wanting to just stop there I constantly look out for anything Chilli orientated that might be of interest. Well….I found something all right, in Indiana, probably not the nearest event to me but hey! why not. On arrival they greeted me as if I was one of their own, I guess that they recognized a fellow fanatic. The fields abounded with colour, the people abounded with Chillis, all in all it was an experience that I’m glad that I didn’t miss. Every type, colour, strength and size was there for the picking, it was a Chili fest in the extreme. Enthusiasts from all over the world came to join in the picking, the cooking and the tasting, and boy did some of them have taste? Heat like you’ve never experienced before, in some cases you were lucky if you retained the skin on your lips.
I’ve taken all of the information back to the Horned Fox emporium and filed it under ‘dangerously hot’, but we are using this recent experience to further the brand in the various applications of the Chilli. So what’s next? Watch this space, we’ll keep you up to date on all of our Chilli exploits and let you know when new ranges of sauce are ready!
